Here’s a buildup of my Stealth Scout that I made in 2008. I’m cheating in that I’m just posting the build posts that I had in the 501st forums. But I think it explains alot about the build.

– the black ABS armor from “Atin Miller” for a measly $125 shipped on the legion forum
– the helmet from Greg for $70 (standard Rubies, but I heavily modified it)
– made the vest from 2 double extra large T shirts and some remnant padding for the sleaves (like JD did when he did his scout) $10 – yeah I even got the expensive T-shirts from Walmart
– made the cummerbund from vinyl from JoAnn’s – $25all of the rest I already had –
jumpsuit (from my standard scout)
straps & clips (rolls of it at home)
gloves (from my standard scout)
paint for the helmet (from my gunner)
So the total right now is: $230!!!
I should be OK for the stealth scout – just gotta make the pouches and boots. But I want to upgrade to a Storm Commando with 2 bandoliers and a red visor and maybe shin armor.
Here’s my progress so far. The pics aren’t great b/c the lighting is bad and it’s all black. It didn’t help that the camera batteries were going too!

I modified the permissions, you should be able to see it now. Let me know if you can’t.
Did more this morning on the boots. And found some stuff for the bandoliers at target. I love that Target and Sears use black and red as their generic colors.
Should be done by next weekend.

Well, I got some work done this weekend. Here’s my HEAVILY modified Rubies bucket that I got from Greg. The red visor is a football sheild insert that I got from Ebay. Someone on Cloneempire said they used it and it worked pretty good. It’s really flimsy, so I put a clear faceshield cutout behind it. (Sorry for the bad quality on the photos, I used the elcheapo camera.)
Here it is next to my standard issue Biker Scout.
I made the pouches, but didn’t take any pix, so everything except the bandoliers are made and I have the Raw Materials for those. Hopefully it will stay sunny this weekend.
